DUSHANBE, March 30, 2016, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon introduced a number of staff changes at a March 30 meeting discussing preparations for an autumn-winter period.

Mahmadtohir Zokirzoda, who had previously served as Minister of Agriculture, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister.

Sattor Izatullo, formerly President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was appointed Minister of Agriculture, replacing Mahmadtohir Zokirzoda.

Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, formerly Mayor of Khujand City, was appointed to head the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy, replacing Akbar Yatimzoda.

Sharif Sharifzoda, who had previously served as Mayor of Rogun City, was appointed Mayor of Khujand City, the capital of Sughd Province.

Saidali Siddiq, formerly First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting under the Government of Tajikistan, was appointed to head the National News Agency

Besides, Yoqub Ismoilzoda, who had previously served as director of the state-run printer Sharqi Ozod, was appointed to head the Department for Work with Local Governments at President’s Executive Office.

Qurbonali Fayzullozoda, formerly head of Sharqi Ozod’s Trade Union, was appointed to head Sharqi Ozod, which is run by President’s Executive Office.
