DUSHANBE, May 5, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik Ambassador to Russia Imomuddin Sattorov has also been appointed to represent Tajikistan in Armenia.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, Imomuddin Sattorov was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Armenia with residence in Moscow.
Imomuddin Sattorov reportedly presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on May 3.
In the course of the talks, Sattorov and Sargsyan discussed state and prospects of further expansion of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between Tajikistan and Armenia.
They also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within regional and international organizations.
President Sargsyan, in particular, noted that there was considerable potential for expansion of bilateral cooperation and expressed hope that “appointment of the Ambassador will give a new impulse to development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Tajikistan.”
