DUSHANBE, June 3, 2016, Asia-Plus – During a visit to the Tajik southern province of Khatlon, Prime Minister Qohir Rasouloda has sharply criticized the quality of work on rehabilitation of the Shouroobod-Shohon section of the Kulob-Darvoz district, a source in the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interveiw.

His criticism, directed at officials of the Ministry of Transport (MoT), came during inspection of works on rehabilitation of the mentioned road.

On June 2, prime minister visited Khatlon’s Dangahra district to get acquainted with the pace of construction of a spinning mill there.

On the same day Qohir Rasoulzoda inspected the implementation of the project on rehabilitation of the Kulob-Darvoz highway.

The project, in particular, provides for rehabilitation of a 40-kilometer Shouroobod-Shohon section of this road and construction of ten bridges with a total length of 1,121 meters.

The project was launched in 2011 and supposed to be finished in 2014 but its deadline has been extended until the end of this year.

Prime minister sharply criticized improper activities of companies involved in implementation of the project and warned first deputy minister of transport and director of the project implementation unit, the source said.
