DUSHANBE, June 6, 2016, Asia-Plus – The Council of Tajik Students Studying Abroad (Council) has been established in Tajikistan.
The Council’s organizational meeting, presided over by the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, Adham Abdullozoda, took place in Dushanbe at the end of last week.
According to the press service of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, the Council members include representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Sciences, the Ministry of Labor and Migration, the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs, as well as representatives of Tajik students studying abroad.
The Council is reportedly established for the purpose of providing moral and social support for Tajik students studying abroad, helping solve problems facing them, and organizing cooperation between relevant ministries and agencies in supporting Tajik students studying abroad.
According to the statistical data from the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, more than 30,000 Tajik students are currently studying abroad.
