QUGHON TEPPA, July 20, 2016, Asia-Plus – Three policemen from the Farkhor district in Khatlon province are suspected of exceeding official powers.

The deputy head of the Interior Ministry’s office in Khatlon province, Suhrob Salomov, says the police officers have been arrested for beating one of detainees.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way, Salomov said.  

“Over the first six months of this year, seven policemen have committed five crimes in Khatlon province,” the deputy head of the Interior Ministry’s office in Khatlon added.
