A 23-year-old resident of the city of Sarband (Khatlon province), Taghoymurod Mirov, has been arrested on suspicion of killing his mother, Sadafmo Nourova, a 52 year-old resident of the village of Qainama, Danghara district (Khatlon province).

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, her body was found buried near the home of a 60-year-old resident of the village of Rakhshonzamin in Danghara district at around 10:20 pm of September 22.

The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that Mirov severely beat his mother and then hit her several times with a spade on September 17 following quarrel.

The Interior Ministry’s website says Mirov buried his mother when she was still alive.
