On Saturday November 26, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon extended condolences to the Cuban people over the death of former Cuban President Fidel Castro Ruz, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

“We were shocked and saddened to hear the loss of Cuban people’s leader Fidel Castro Ruz,” a cable of condolences read.  

The cable, in particular, noted, “Fidel Castro Ruz, as great statesman determining character and content of a whole epoch in development of the country, firmly entered into contemporary history of Cuba.  Due to his untiring efforts on international arena for peace and accord Fidel Castro was generally recognized as a world-scale politician.”
