According to the Tajik president’s official website, Marouf Muhammadzoda was appointed Mayor of Khujand, the capital of Sughd Province, replacing Sharif Sharifzoda.
Sharif Sharifzoda was reportedly relieved of his post of Mayor of Khujand in connection with transfer to other job.
Bahrom Inoyatzoda was appointed Mayor of Istaravshan City in Sughd Province, replacing Naim Nabizoda.
Naim Nabizoda was relieved of his post of Mayor of Istaravshan in connection with transfer to other job, the website said.
