In the court of Shohmansur district of Dushanbe today hearings on the case of Russian citizen Tatiana Huzhina continued. A representative of the prosecutor's office asked to punish the accused with 6 years in prison.

Recall, in late June, the Tajik Customs Service detained a 41-year-old Russian citizen Tatyana Huzhina for attempting to export two-kopek copper coins from the country, 1823 year of release.

The website of the Tajik customs department noted that the detainee tried to withdraw the coin without filling out the declaration in her luggage and was stopped on the flight Dushanbe-Moscow. It also stressed that, according to the conclusion of the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, the seized coin of the times of Tsarist Russia has historical, cultural, museum and numismatic value.

The customs service stressed that according to the norms of the legislation of Tajikistan, the illegal export of coins having such value from the country is prohibited.

In the message of the Customs then it was noted that a criminal case was opened against a Russian citizen under articles 32 (attempted crime) and 289 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.

At various auctions, according to numismatic websites, this year's coin of 2 kopecks, given its worn out, does not exceed 300 Russian rubles. Due to their large circulation, the demand is only for coins in good condition. But and in this case the price can be only 2-3 times higher than the prices indicated here.
