The Sughd regional court sentenced a resident of the region to 20 years of imprisonment for the murder of a minor niece. The second child was killed by another relative.

The murder of two minors was committed in 2008 in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, but the convict was detained by law enforcement officers only on June 5, 2017 in his native Gorno-Matchinsky district. This was reported to "AP" by the presiding judge of the regional court Firuza Ahmadzoda.

She noted that the judicial board on criminal cases of the Sughd regional court on August 18, 2017 completed the consideration of the lawsuit against the 47-year-old resident of the jamoat Ivan-Tojik of the Gorno-Matchinsky district Tolib Mirzobokiev.

Having considered this case, the court found him guilty for committing a crime, provided for in Article 104 part 2, paragraphs "A, B, H". (Murder of two or more persons, obviously a minor, or a person known to the guilty to be in a helpless state, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement) of the Criminal Code

The judge noted that the murder of two minors: Umedjon Mirzobokiev, born in 1997 (thereat 11-year-old) and Sitora Mirzobokieva born in 2002 (thereat 6 -year-old) was committed in 2008 in the city of Yekaterinburg.

The convict is an uncle, the brother of their father, 53-year-old Kurbon Mirzobokiev, who was sentenced in 2002 for drug trafficking and stayed until 2012.

The judge noted that the second wife of Kurbon, a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Salima Mirzobokieva, left for Yekaterinburg on March 22, 2002.

Tolib Mirzobokiev and his brother's son, thereat 19-year-old (1989 year of birth) Manuchehr Shavkatov considered Salim and her children the cause of the destruction of the first family of Kurbon Mirzobkiev, they did not help her financially, and, by prior agreement, decided to kill the underage children.

On April 17, 2008, when nobody was home, they decided to implement their plan. Uncle of minors, Tolib Mirzobokiev strangled 11-year-old Umedjon, and his own brother strangled his sister.

Further, in order to hide the committed crime, the criminals, putting the children's bodies in a bag, threw them on a waste dump in the forest.

But four years later, in April 2012, Manuchehr Shavkatov came to the police of Yekaterinburg with a guilty conscience. The court sentenced him to 15.6 years in prison..

Uncle of children Tolib Mirzobokiev since 2012 was declared wanted. He was detained by law enforcement officers of the region only on June 5, 2017 in his native Gorno-Matchinsky district.

“The sentenced person will serve a term of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed” – Judge of the Regional Court Firuza Ahmadzoda added.
