The Committee on Religious Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan refutes rumors that in the country on the eve of Idi Qurban some special commissions have been established that would determine the order of sacrifices.

In particular, for several days there has been a rumor that those who are going to sacrifice must report to this commission about who they are, where they work, whether they are well-off. It is also said that this commission commits a person who made a sacrifice to give some of the meat to an orphanage, a nursing home or a boarding school.

"All this is not true," told "AP" in the Committee.

It should be noted that on the instructions of the mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, 93 public time points were prepared in the capital, where it is possible to perform a sacrifice in honor of the holiday. 20 of them are in the Ismoili Somoni area, 17 in Shohmansur, 15 in Firdavsi and 41 in the Sino area.

At the mayor's office noted that these places can be used by people who live in high-rise buildings.

Idi Qurbon in Tajikistan will be celebrated on September 1.
