The residents of several mahallas of the Shohmansur district of the capital appealed to the editorial staff of "Asia Plus", and reported that the heads of mahallas threaten to fine those parents whos children will participate in the Idgardak (children's festivities on Muslim holidays). In the Hukumat they assure that there was no such order.

The residents of the mahalla Gulobod of the Shokhmansur district applied to the editorial office of "Asia Plus", who reported that yesterday the head of the mahalla council walked around each house in their mahalla and said that the parents of children who will go to Idgardak will be fined for 300 somoni.

"We were informed that the Idgardak was banned, all children should be sent on September 1 to school. According to them, if they see that one of the children will go to Idgardak, the parents will be fined for 300 somoni.

They also said that it is not necessary to make a big festive dastarkhan, the penalty for violating this requirement is 1,600 somoni", – told "AP" residents of the mahalla.

They also said that the head of the local mahalla council told them that this is the order of the hukumat.

The chairman of Shokhmansur district of Dushanbe Nizom Khakimzoda denied these conversations, saying that he did not give such instructions to the mahalla councils.

According to him, yesterday he was generally busy preparing for the opening of a new building of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"No one will be fined for Idgardak, but schoolchildren must necessarily go to class, as the decision that the Day of Knowledge will be held on September 1 was accepted by the Ministry of Education", – Chairman of the Shokhmansur Hukumat said "AP".

Concerning the festive dastarkhan, he said that this is the requirement of the law "On the regulation of traditions and rites". “It states that the dastarkhan on Idi Qurbon and Idi Ramazon should be modestly, without waste", – Nozim Hakimzoda said.

The capital city administration also stated that there are no restrictions for children on the occasion of the holiday. "This is false information, there is no such order", told "AP" in the Dushanbe administration

Recall that the Ministry of Education and Science ordered all students to attend the classes on September 1 stating that this does not violate the law. Accordingly, to go to work in Idi Qurbon, which by law is a day off, should all teachers.

The working day of September 1 is also announced in all health structures. Doctors say they were told to go to work on the basis of a government order, although no one saw this document. Other state structures will also work, including ministries and committees
