“Please accept my warm congratulations as you and the Republic of Tajikistan celebrate your independence this September 9th.

“The United States was among the first nations to recognize Tajikistan’s independence in 1991, and we have remained steadfast supporters of Tajikistan’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

“As you celebrate 26 years of independence, we look forward to continued partnership and collaboration that benefits our two nations and the region.  I extend my best wishes to all the people of Tajikistan on this day.”
