Tajikistan and Germany held political consultations in Berlin on October 17, according to the Tajik MFA information department. 

Co-chaired by Muzaffar Huseinzoda, Deputy Foreign minister of Tajikistan and Andreas Peschke, Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany the meeting reportedly focused on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in the fields of politics, security, energy, industry, transportation, investment, culture, science and education.  

The sides also discussed the inter-parliamentary ties between their countries and exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues being of mutual interest.  

Huseinzoda and Peschke reportedly expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany and underlined interest of both sides in further development and strengthening of relations between the two friendly countries.
