Properties of Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Tojiktransgaz (Tajik natural-gas distributor) have been put for sale. 

The company’s gas storages located in the Bobojon-Ghafourov district of the Sughd province and in the Roudaki district (districts subordinate to the center) have been put on action.

The auctions will take place on November 8.  The starting price for the gas storage located in the Navobod jamoat of the Roudaki district is 2.2 million somoni and the starting price for the gas storage locate in the Bobojon-Ghafourov district is 1.3 million somoni. 

Until 2012, Tojiktransgaz had been engaged in distributing Uzbek natural gas.  In 2012, Tajikistan was cut off from natural gas shipments by Uzbekistan and since that time, Tojiktransgaz has been engaged in distributing natural gas being produced in the Khatlon province.

Tajikistan’s annual natural gas productions amount only to some 4 million cubic meters.
