Smuggling of 5 tons of coal from Kyrgyzstan was suppressed by the employees of the Regional Department of the Customs Service of Tajikistan in Sughd region, the press service of the customs service of the republic reports.

As the press center of the Customs Service of the Republic of Tajikistan informs, customs officers stopped a “ZIL” truck on the territory of Sughd region of J.Rasulov district. The truck was operated by a 32-year-old resident of B.Gafurov district. In the body of the car customs officers found 5 tons of coal from Kyrgyzstan”.

It was found that the cargo he purchased from an unknown person of Kyrgyz nationality in the territory of J.Rasulov district, and he wanted to transport coal across the border without customs documents.

On this fact a case was brought against Art. 579 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Customs Service reports.
