To get access to their disability pensions more than 3,500 pensioners in Tajikistan have to undergo repeated medical examination.

The Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of Tajikistan Agency notes that payment of disability pensions to 3,580 pensioners has been temporarily suspended.  These pensioners have to undergo repeated medical examination.

According to the statistical data from the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions, 143,00 people in Tajikistan now get a disability pension.

Recall, the Tajik authorities in 2014 annulled 5,600 illegally assigned disability pensions.   

At the time the president ordered to continue work on revealing and annulling illegally assigned disability pensions.

Like an average rate of pension in Tajikistan, an average rate of the disability pension in the country is 272.00 somoni.      

Meanwhile, an average rate of a retirement pension in the country is 302.00 somoni and an average rate of a social pension is 146.00 somoni.  

A total number of pensioners living in Tajikistan is more than 660,000 people and more than 2.7 billion somoni are annually needed to pay their pensions.
