A Tajik Corner will open at the ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) that will kick off in the German capital on March 7.

According to the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, 30 representatives of 16 Tajik tour operators will represent Tajikistan at the fair that will run through March 11.          

The motto of the Tajik Corner will be “Tajikistan Is a Country for Tourism,” an official source at the Tourism Development Committee told Asia-Plus today morning. 

According to him, the Tourism Development Committee and Tajikistan’s Embassy in Berlin intend to organize a meeting of Tajik and German tourist companies.

A meeting of tourism ministers of the Silk Road countries is expected to take place on the sidelines of the tourism trade fair in berlin, the source added.  

The ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is the world's largest tourism trade fair. The companies represented at the fair include hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers, airlines and car rental companies.

The ITB Berlin takes place annually in March at the Messe Berlin.
