The Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) “International Bank of Tajikistan” (IBT) has become an associate member of the international payment system, Visa International and it now offers its customers services on opening Visa Classic and Vis a Gold cards, according to the IBT press center.  

The bank is now engaged in acquiring – processing credit or debit card payments is the process of obtaining funds from a cardholder using the Card Schemes.

Acquiring is a licensed activity and approval is necessary from both the card scheme and the Financial Regulator of the region. 

The Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) “International Bank of Tajikistan” was established in February 2016 as the microfinance organization “Standart Moliya” (Standard Finance) was upgraded into a commercial bank.

The bank’s stakeholders include a private company and a group of nationals of Tajikistan. 

According to information posted on IBT’s website, the International Bank of Tajikistan, with headquarters in Dushanbe, currently has four branches and seven banking service centers in several cities and districts across the country.
