President Emomali Rahmon today started a working visit to the northern Sughd province, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  They main purpose of the visit is for the head of state to get acquainted with the socioeconomic situation in the area.  

In the Jabbor-Rasoulov district, Rahmon attended a ceremony of an official reopening of the rehabilitated 17-kilometer road.

Rehabilitation of this road reportedly concludes the first stage of the Khujand-Isfara road rehabilitation project.

A 50-meter flagpole hoisting the country’s three-color flag, measuring 14 meters by 7 meters was officially opened in Jabbor-Rasoulov district today, says the president’s website.  

While in the Jabbor-Rasoulov district, the president also attended an official opening ceremony of the private kindergarten “Nourafshon.” The construction of the kindergarten that accommodates up to 240 children has been financed by local entrepreneurs.
