On Monday November 5, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon began a working visit to his hometown Danghara in Khatlon province, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

On the same day, Rahmon attended an official opening ceremony of the Danghara Medical College.

Construction of two-five-story buildings of the College began in 2015.  The project has reportedly been implemented by the Directorate for Construction of Government Facilities, President’s Executive Office.

On Monday, Emomali Rahmon also attended an official opening of the second line of the Juntai Danghara Sin Silu Textiles Production Complex with annual capacity of 15,000 tons of cotton fiber.

15,000 hectares of lands have been allocated by the government for cultivation of cotton for the Juntai Danghara Sin Silu Textiles Production Complex and two cotton-ginning factories have been launched in Dousti and Danghara districts.

Recall, the first line of the Juntai Danghara Sin Silu Textiles Production Complex with annual capacity of 10,000 tons of cotton fiber was introduced into operation in August 2016.

The construction of the plant, which can process in total 52,000 tons of cotton fiber and produce 150 million meters of textiles made of cotton per year, began in December 2014.

The enterprise is planned to create more than 6,000 new jobs.

The construction of the enterprise was financed by Chinese investments.  According to the Tajik president’s official website, more than 600 million somoni was invested in the construction of the enterprise.
