Tajikistan is expected to launch a 300-day entrepreneurship support program next month.  The program titled “3000 Days of Reforms to Support Entrepreneurship and Improve Investment Climate” has reportedly been initiated by President Emomali Rahmon.     

A number of activities aiming to support development of entrepreneurship in the country are planned to be held within the next ten months, according to the State Committee on Investments and State-run Property Management (GosKomInvest).

Thus, it is planned to extend the participation of entrepreneurs in tenders for making public procurements.

The program also provides for reducing the tax burden on representatives of the private sector and improving the country’s economic legislation.  

It is planned to work out a law on special industrial zones and make amendments aimed at providing additional benefits to industrial production facilities and exporters.  

It is also planned to work out the public private partnership development program for 2019-2024 and the national strategy on raising entrepreneurs’ financial literacy.  

The initiative is also provides for reforming the country’s permit system and reduce the number of permit documents from 74 to 56.  Besides, the number of inspections of business will be reduced by 10 percent.
