Some areas of Dushanbe and Khujand, which is Tajikistan’s second largest city of the country, will be left without electricity today for seven hours in connection with routine maintenance work on power substations and electricity transmission line.

“In Dushanbe, electricity supply will be cut off to Roudaki, Chashmasor, Soatov, Gagarin, Proletarskaya, Hamzaliyev, Bobojon-Ghafourov, Hisor, Abdullobekova, Mayakovski, Huvaidulloyev, Asadullo-Ghulomov, Tunis, Hayoti Nav, Sharaf, Shamsi, Rohi Nav and Lomonosv streets as well as Qarotegin, Bahori, Chinori Imom, Kamol, Gulbutta and Gulparvar neighborhoods from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in connection with routine maintenance work on power substations,” said an official source at the Dushanbe electricity supply networks.
