In connection with unstable weather conditions and ongoing torrential rains, employees of the Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (Emergencies Committee) under the Government of Tajikistan have reportedly been put on around the clock duty.

According to the Emergencies Committee press center, no emergency situations were reported in the country yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Hydrometeorology Agency (Hydromet) says torrential rains are expected today practically in all regions of the country.  Thunderstorms and hails are expected to hit some areas.

Tomorrow, sleet is reportedly expected in mountain areas above 1,500 meters above sea level. 

Weather forecasters say torrential rains will hit Dushanbe, Hisor, Varzob, Vahdat, Faizobod, Nourobod, Rasht, Sangvor, Darvoz, Kulob, Farkhor, Vose, Danghara, Khovaling, Muminobod, Shamsiddin-Shohin, Panjakent, Shahriston, Mastchoh, Istaravshan, Yovon and Roudaki.
