Tajikistan is expected to adopt a new law, under which the public will be able to receive government services through e-government’s website.

A draft law on government services has been worked out by a work group in the framework of the Electronic Government Creation Concept.

The work group (WG) has been set up at the Ministry of Justice and its members include representatives of the government and civil society.

While working the draft law, the WG members have reportedly used experiences of dozens of countries of the world.

The draft law is expected to be submitted for consideration to the government before July 1 this year.

The law on government services reportedly determines organizational, legal and economic basics of government services, regulates rights and obligations of government bodies and legal entities involved in providing public services as well as recipients of public services.

The law also provides for public monitoring of the process of providing public services.  The public monitoring of the quantity and quality of public services stipulates collection and analysis of information on the quantity and quality of public services and formation of recommendations.
