A 7-year-ld boy was killed on July 7 as a car ran into a concrete border of bridge in the Bobojon-Ghafourov district of the Sughd province.   

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place near the Gulkhona village Monday evening at 8:30 pm.  

The 35-year-old resident of Gulkhona village, Saidazam Azamov, lost control of his Opel-Astra and it went into oncoming traffic and ran into a concrete border of bridge. 

His 7-year-old son, Atomullo Saidazam, sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, the website said.   

The driver reportedly got off with minor bruises.
