A 23-year-old woman from the village of Gazantarak in the Divashtich district of the Sughd province has reportedly killed her 27-year-old husband out of jealousy.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the 23-year-old woman from the village of Gazantarak has been arrested on suspicion of killing her 27-year-old husband on July 11 following family quarrel on the basis of jealousy.  

She reportedly cut his throat with a kitchen knife when he fell asleep.   

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the woman and an investigation is under way.
