Prior to his appointment in Dushanbe, the new ambassador of Berlin in Dushanbe was the head of the "Ukraine" working headquarters in the German Foreign Ministry.

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Tajikistan Andreas Protmann on August 21 presented a copy of his Credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic, Muzaffar Huseynzoda.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Federal Republic of Germany, MFA reports.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Muzaffar Huseynzoda wished Andreas Protmann success in the implementation of the diplomatic mission.

Andreas Protmann succeeds Neithart Höfer-Wissing as Ambassador of Germany to Tajikistan.
