During operational-search measures, police officers in the city of Bokhtar detained a car Opel Vectra which was driven by a 52-year-old resident of the Vakhsh district.

During the inspection, 21 containers and bags of ferula resin were found and seized in the vehicle, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

According to the conclusion of the chemical-pharmaceutical examination, the seized substance refers to the hardened material “ferula resin”, the weight of which amounted to 527.5 kg.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under article 234 (illegal cutting of trees and shrubs) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan, an investigation is underway. He faces a fine of 55 thousand somoni.
