The second unit of the Rogun hydropower plant will begin to generate electricity on September 9, the day of the 28th anniversary of independence of Tajikistan.

The launch of the second Rogun unit will be held with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon, members of the government, deputies, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Dushanbe, builders of hydroelectric power plant, reported in the government of Tajikistan.
