Tajik leader emphasizes Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s personal contribution to the development of Uzbek-Tajik relations.

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon today sent a congratulatory message to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of independence of this country, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

«It is gratifying to note that Uzbekistan is steadily moving forward in its development, achieving large-scale, impressive results in various areas of the country's socio-economic and spiritual life. The authority of Uzbekistan in the international arena is also growing, including as an active conductor of a policy of constructive regional cooperation based on the principles of mutual trust and respect», – says congratulatory telegram.

The leader of Tajikistan also noted that the comprehensive strengthening of the creative foundations of relations between the two peoples today occupies a central place in the priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.

«I especially want to note your dear Shavkat Miramonovich, a significant personal role in creating the necessary prerequisites for shifting the interaction of our countries into a qualitatively new development channel. Developing extremely efficiently, the invariably friendly relations between the two countries have become even broader in recent years, a clear example of which is their withdrawal to the level of strategic partnership», – noted in the message.
