Tajikistan has won gold and silver at the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships that took place in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 8 to October 17.  

Abdurahim Yoqubov won gold medal for Tajikistan finishing first in -54kg weight category.  In the final, he defeated Kazakh boxer Nurusltan Altynbek.

Abubakr Mirzoyev, who is the youngest member of Tajikistan (will be turning to 15 only in the end of the year), grabbed silver medal, finishing second in -52kg weight category.  In the final, he lost Kazakh boxer Ruslan Kuzeubai.   

Eleven boxers, including ten male athletes and one female athlete, represented Tajikistan at the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah.  

In all, 239 boxers, including 170 male and 69 female athletes, from 26 countries of the world, participated in competitions in Fujairah.

Boxers who were born in 2003 or in 2004 were eligible to attend the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah.
