One person was killed and three others injured on October 16 as a car crashes into a tree in Dushanbe.  The driver reportedly was a 17-year-old teen.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place in the evening on the Tunis Street I Dushanbe’s Sino district.

The 17-year-old Ahmadsho Sharifov apparently lost control of his VAZ-21099 and hit two pedestrians and then crashed into a tree.

As a result of the collision, one of passengers – the 17-year-old Sharif Hafizov – died.  Two other underage passengers and one of pedestrians sustained various injuries and were hospitalized.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
