A “Smart City” enterprise has been established in Dushanbe to receive reports on the operation of the digital data transmission format over the radio channels, according to the Dushanbe Administration press center.

The mayor reportedly determined the procedure of operation of Internet through Wi-Fi (wireless technology) in Dushanbe.

The Dushanbe Administration press center says a relevant decision adopted by the Dushanbe mayor is aimed at protecting information security, providing security of citizens and improving Internet services.

By mayor’s decree the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Smart City has been established to provide transparency and security of information technologies, the Dushanbe Administration officials say.

Now, all legal and physical entities providing Internet services through Wi-Fi will be registered with the “Smart City” enterprise.

This year, Wi-Fi has been established practically in Dushanbe’s parks.
