A warrant officer of one of military units of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) deployed in Dushanbe has been fired and fined for beating a private soldier.

Under a ruling handed down by the Dushanbe military court, Warrant Officer Talabshoh Qamarov has been fire for beating Private Soldier Jumakhon Kenjayev.  The court has also imposed a fine of 5,500 somoni on Qamarov.

An official source within the Dushanbe military court says the incident took place in mid-October.  “Qamarov demanded that Kenjayev stand at attention when he appears.  Kenjayev refused to comply with this demand because it is against the rules of the Disciplinary Charter of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan”

For this, Qamarov has decided to beat the soldier.  “According to the conclusion of doctors, Kenjayev sustained slight bruises,” the source added.
