The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has called on lending agencies to carry out money transfer transactions timely and without hindrance.

The NBT press center says that according to applications received from citizens, some lending agencies create artificial barriers and restrictions while carrying out money transfer transactions.

At the same time, Tajik central bank notes that the National Transfer Processing Center that was lunched on December 3 operates properly.

Recall, the NBT’s rationale for its new processing system is that it will afford greater financial security to local banks. When recipients of transfers cash out, the actual money is paid upfront by local banks, which are then recompensed periodically by the wiring companies.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Zolotaya Korona, which reportedly accounted for more than 80 percent of wire transfers, has refused to be integrated into the National Transfer Processing Center.

Created by CFT Group in 1994, Zolotaya Korona (Golden Crown) is a Russian payment system that provides a range of consumer payment services, including Online Card-2-Cash RUB-USD/EUR exchange service, Cash-2-Cash, Online Card-2-Cash, Online Card-2-Card money transfers, loan repayments as well as b2b payment services for banks and organizations.  Zolotaya Korona is officially recognized as socially important payment system in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Participants of payment services are 550 banks; geography of operations includes 32 countries.
