The government has proposed amendments to the 2019 national budget law exempting the Dushanbe Administration from paying the value added tax (VAT) and customs duties for trees and flowers delivered to the county.

An official source at Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament says the government has sent to the Majlisi Namoyandagon a draft law on amendments proposed to the country’s law on the national budget for 2019.

“The amendments, in particular, provide for exempting the Dushanbe Administration from paying the value added tax and customs duties for trees and flowers delivered to the county,” the source said.

According to him, the list of trees and flowers exempted from payment of VAT and custom duties will be approved by the government.

A number of flowers and trees have reportedly been delivered to Tajikistan from Uzbekistan and Italy.
