A government session, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, took place on March 30.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Nasim Olimzoda, reported on measures taken to prevent the spread of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

Rahmon reportedly ordered the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population to intensify an explanatory work on healthy lifestyle and observance of the rules of personal hygiene.  

The head of state reportedly also ordered to take adequate measures to speed up the work on training high-level specialists, ensuring preparedness of medical facilities for receiving patients, bringing in the state-of-the-art medical equipment, etc.  

Besides, he ordered to speed up construction of medical facilities in Dushanbe and regions, including a hospital with 300 beds in Danghara as well as health centers and modern first aid posts in all jamoats and settlements.  

Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Zarobiddin Faizullozoda, reported on the progress of implementation of the government’s regulation on the program of development of carpet-weaving in the county designed for 2014-2020.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqi Zavqizoda, reported on measures taken to ensure the regular work of the country's economy during autumn-winter 2020-2021.
