Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on April 3 signed a number of laws that have recently been adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) and seconded by the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament).

The Tajik president’s official website says President Rahmon, in particular, signed the law on amendments made to the country’s law on public services.

This law establishes and organizes the delivery of public services in Tajikistan.  Public service is a service intended to serve all members of a community.  It is usually provided by government to people living within its jurisdiction, either directly (through the public sector) or by financing provision of services.

Besides, the president signed the laws on amendments made to the Water and Transport Codes and the Economic Procedure Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
