Russia is expected to compile data based on foreign citizens arriving in the country.

The Russian Interior Ministry’s official website says the creation of a platform containing information about foreign nationals arriving in the country is required by the Plan of Actions on Implementation of the 2019-2025 National Migration Policy of Russia in 2020-2022.

The Plan of Action was reportedly approved by the Government of Russia on May 30.

According to the Russian Interior Ministry, a single database of foreign nationals “ensures the provision of public services, interaction between citizens, organizations and government agencies in electronic form as well as allows introducing personalized information services (personal account, mailing notifications in mobile application).”

The Plan has reportedly been developed “for the purpose of reforming migration regimes and citizenship institution in Russia that are results of joint activities of all public authorities within the framework of the working group on implementation of the Concept.”
