A mild tremor jolted Dushanbe today morning, at around 6:30 am.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquake was centered in the area 72 kilometers northeast of Khorog and 327 kilometers east of Dushanbe.  In the epicenter, the earthquake’s magnitude was reportedly 5.7 on Richter scale.

The Dushanbe seismological station says the earthquake could be felt in other regions of Tajikistan as well. 

The tremor was also could be felt in neighboring Uzbekistan.  The Seismic Monitoring Center at the Emergencies Ministry of Uzbekistan says the tremor could be felt tomorrow morning in 11 regions of the country.
