Dushanbe administration supports local medical facilities to combat COVID-19 and other infections

The Dushanbe Administration has reportedly provided a total of 3.9 million somoni worth of assistance to local medical facilities.

The assistance included 200 ventilators, 100 laryngoscopies, 160 oxygen cylinders, 50 apparatuses for remote monitoring of patients and so forth.  

The mayor’s office says the humanitarian aid has been purchased in China on behalf of Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali.  

The aid has been provided to hospitals to combat novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and other infectious diseases, according to the Dushanbe Administration press center.  

The mayor reportedly ordered the Dushanbe health directorate to control that the assistance is used forth purpose intended and it is provided to patients free of charge.
