Rescuers of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan tonight prevented a suicide attempt, said the head of the press center of CoES Umeda Yusufi.

According to her, a 43-year-old resident of the capital tried to commit suicide.

«At 00:38 minutes on June 25, a call came in that the woman intended to jump from the automobile bridge located in 103 microdistrict», – said Yusufi.

She noted that as a result of lengthy negotiations, rescuers still managed to safely lower the woman from a height.

«She was referred to the relevant authorities for further consideration of the circumstances of her decision», – said Umeda Yusufi.
