Another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and China was held in the format of a videoconference on September 23. The meeting was chaired by the first deputy foreign ministers of Tajikistan, Khusrav Noziri and China, Le Yuchen.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of Tajik-Chinese relations, exchanged views on topical regional and international issues, reported by the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.

The importance of implementing the agreements reached between the states for further deepening and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation was emphasized.

The parties also talked about cooperation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the need to build up a comprehensive strategic partnership between countries at all levels was emphasized.

Following the meeting, readiness was expressed to further strengthen multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
