Mayor of the city Rustam Emomali made an address to the townspeople on September 23 following the results of the regular session of the city majlis of people's deputies.
He called on every family living in Dushanbe to plant a tree near their home, the press service of the capital's mayor's office reported.
The session heard reports from the Vice Mayor of Dushanbe and the heads of metropolitan districts on the preparation of the city for the autumn-winter season of 2020-2021.
The mayor drew the attention of the relevant structures of the city to the expansion of landscaping works, including cleaning the streets. He also gave specific instructions on the timely removal of waste and fallen leaves, ensuring a plan for planting trees and winter flowers, replacing dead trees, and maintaining fountains and benches in parks.
