And call on the people to follow their example.

On weekends, employees of state institutions of the Khatlon region go out to pick cotton to help cotton growers under the motto "60 days of shock work".

On September 30, deputies of the Majlis of People's Deputies of Khatlon asked the residents of the region to follow their example, said the head of the press service of the regional administration Nosirjon Mamurzoda.

«The deputies in their appeal called on the residents of the region, employees of state institutions and enterprises to come to the help of farmers on weekends in order to pick cotton in a timely manner, on which farmers spent a lot of money and effort», – said Mamurzoda .

Meanwhile, government officials said that tomorrow, October 3, they are already sent to pick cotton.

«We do not know yet in which district we will be mobilized, but we were warned that tomorrow morning all workers will go to pick cotton», – said a source in one of the state institutions.

According to the main agro-industrial administration of the region, this year cotton sowing was carried out on an area of 124 thousand 175 hectares. The planned cotton picking plan in the region is 278 thousand tons of raw. As of September 30, 130 thousand tons of cotton were harvested in the region.
