President Emomali Rahmon has shaken up regional administrators in the northern Sughd province, according to the national news agency Khovar.

By president‘s decree Firdavs Sharifzoda, who had previously served as Mayor of Guliston City (Sughd Province), was appointed Mayor Khujand, the capital of Sughd Province, replacing Marouf Muhammadzoda, who was relieved of his post of Mayor of Khujand in connection with transfer to other job.

Marouf Muhammadzoda had served as Mayor of Khujand since March 31, 2017.

Besides, Amirkhon Qurbonzoda was relieved of his post of Mayor of Istaravshan (Sughd Province) in connection with transfer to other job.

Adham Mamourzoda was appointed Mayor of Istaravshan.

BakhtiyorSaidahmadzoda was appointed Mayor of Guliston.
