New head of Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for Economics and Finances elected

Members of the board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament have unanimously voted for approving MP Mashrab Faizulloyev for the position of the Head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Economics and Finances.

A regular sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Board, presided over by its head, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, took place on December 14.

One of the issues discussed at the sitting was approval of Majlisi Namoyandagon deputy Mashrab Faizulloyev for the position of the Head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Economics and Finances.

Majlisi Namoyandagon Shuro members unanimously voted for approving Mashrab Faizulloyev for this position. 

Faziulloyev replaced Hokim Kholiqzoda in this position.

Recall, by president’s decree issued in late November Kholiqzoda was appointed to head the National Bank of Tajikistan.  

Prior to being elected to the parliament, Mashrab Faizulloyev, 47, served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the Russia-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in Dushanbe.  He has scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences in Economics.
