Student inflicts stab wound on dean

A second-year student of the World Economy and Marketing at Technological University in Dushanbe has inflicted stab wound on the Dean of this Faculty, Muzaffar Imomnazarov.  

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs First, Mahmoud Toshmatov, has confirmed this information but refused to name the student.  He also refrained from giving further details of the incident. 

According to some sources, the lagging student attacked the dean after the latter called his father to the University to talk about the student’s poor grade.  

Muzaffar Imomnazarov is currently in a hospital under the supervision of doctors.  Imomnazarov underwent surgery and his condition is assessed as satisfactory.

Technological University of Tajikistan is a Tajik university in Dushanbe, with a focus on light and food industries, information technology and economics: specifically in marketing and international economic relations.

It was established on the basis of the Tajik Higher College of Technology, organized by the Council of Ministers of the Republic on September 20, 1990.
