On the occasion of the Day of the Mother, Asia-Plus Media Group and water bottling plant Obi-Zulol have held a festive action “Modaroni Dushanbe” (Mothers of Dushanbe).  A festively decorated bus carried women along the Roudaki Street free of charge.  Besides, various gifts and surprises were waiting for them.

The bus was running along route 3 during three days — from March 6 through March 8, and any woman might get on the festive bus adorned with flowers and balloons.  Various gifts and surprises were waiting for her.

The event is being held in the Tajik capital for already the fourth year.

The event is being held under support of the Dushanbe Administration.

The general partner of the action is Tajikistan’s largest bottled water and soft drinks producer Obi Zulol and its sweet brand RC Cola have been supporting this initiative of Asia-Plus for the fourth consecutive year, giving our mothers a holiday.

Recall, International Women’s Day has been known in Tajikistan as the Day of the Mother since March 2009.  Congratulating women on March 8, 2009, President Emomali Rahmon said that International Women’s Day has only been celebrated on March 8 for about 100 years, but that ancient Aryan women — the ancestors of the Tajiks — had special days both for mothers, specifically, and for women in general.
